New Fe-Runners App

I have been quietly working away on a Fe-Runners App!  I started out integrating with Datasworn, which is a great JSON structure for all things Ironsworn.  Unfortunately, most VTTs that support Datasworn do not handle direvative works.  Iron Vault for Obsidian was the only tool that I found that would work. That tool is great but I did find that I wanted something a bit more specific to Fe-Runners and how I play Fe-Runners so I started to build a multi-platform app to do just that.

Features

Journaling

Focused on quick journal entries that are grouped in a logical order.  For me this makes it easy to work in short increments, take breaks and group my thoughts.  I also have future plans to utilize these blocks to generate different style outputs, such as a comic style export of the story.

Character Creation

I wanted character creation to be easy and fun.  You can quickly create NPCs from the journal editor or go into a deep dive for your main character.  There is also support for multiple main characters if you want to do a party like system.  Albiet, this functionality currently isn't as fully tested as many Ironsworn players tend not to do this but I seen some that do and I think it makes a lot of sense to support it.  I've also add a lot of random tables to do build out your character so you can lean on the oracle to help know who this character is and build off of that.

Location Mapping

I really liked how you could setup Iron Vault to do a node map of the machines you bounce off of, even if it did require some manual tweaking to get it to work in our context.  This system is built in and automatic in the Fe-Runenrs App.  In Fe-Runners you can bounce through a lot of nodes and you are not going to be doing a deep dive into them.  You don't want to spend much time on most of these locations, so it was important to be able to quickly make Nodes and a map but only generate details if you needed to.  Locations can also be attached to your journal editor to make it quick and easy to roll to expore more areas of that node.

Oracles

All of the Oracles are embedded and easy to roll on.  They supported recusrive rolling of tables as well.  So if an Oracle links to another table it will document that along with the results.  These results are automatically embedded into your journal entry (when requested)

Quests and Clocks

Built in Quests that can be linked to moves.  As well as countdown clocks of different types.

Sentient AI

Sentient AI's are a specific and optional game mechanic of Fe-Runners.  There are only a few Moves that trigger these AIs.  The Fe-Runners App allows for easy integration with these AIs if you are interested in using them.

Settings

Customization settings for Dark mode, font sizes and other pieces so you can create your journal the way you want.  All data is stored on your machine and nothing is shared with myself or 3rd parties.

The game runs in the web browser on desktop and mobile devices.  I also have downloadable app versions for major desktops in case you prefer to use those instead of a browser.
